Why We Fest

The Montgomery Hills Street Fest started in 2018 as a way to bring Montgomery Hills neighbors, local restaurants, businesses, and community organizations together to enjoy food, craft beer, games, and music.  The Street Fest also provides the perfect backdrop to share information and galvanize support for the planned improvements to the Georgia Avenue corridor.

Montgomery Hills Vision

Montgomery Hills is a neighborhood center where residents can shop for groceries, meet friends for coffee or a meal, safely access the Red and Purple Line stations, and easily walk or bike along and between nearby neighborhoods.

Status of Proposed Improvements

The Georgia Avenue corridor between 16th Street and the beltway secured $1m in federal funds for the project thanks to Senator Van Hollen. Since that early commitment, there are now funds for construction!
